Commissioner for Refugee Affairs confirms assessment in Nyori camp

The Commissioner for Refugee Affairs in Yei River State confirms the assessment of Nyori camp in Lasu Payam of Otogo County.
 
Julius Taban says people have started returning to Lasu Payam and around 500 children are in schools.
 
Taban explains that the number of people who returned is more than ten thousand people.
 
The commissioner describes the return of refugees and the host community from their hiding places as a good gesture of peace in the area.
 
He appeals for humanitarian organizations to support the returnees with scholastic materials, health and water services.
 
Nyori refugee camp is a home to refugees from Democratic Republic of Congo.
