Wau Sate Governor says the presence of guns in the hands of civilians is the root cause of conflict between cattle keepers and farmers in the area.
Angelo Taban Baijo says long time ago, cattle keepers and famers live together without killing each other, but now they do because of guns.
Taban points out that failure of implementation of Marial Baai agreement by the two communities is another factor that contributes to conflict.
He says the government is doing its best to take control of the situation.
The Governor made the statement at his office in Wau.
