Rumbek Local Football Association suspends Ronga Football Club from participating in all sports activities for one year.

The suspension came due to misconducts demonstrated by Ronga Fc players and the staffs during Saturdays’ match.

Ronga Fc was playing in second division of South Sudan Premier League in Western Lakes State in Rumbek.

Rumbek Local Football Association Chairperson, Ater Deng says Ronga FC fought the referee during the march.

‘Ronga was banned yesterday for one year because of inconvenience that  happened during the match between Ronga and Tarir FC. From Tarir FC and other players from Ronga FC were given red card by the referee within second half of the play. Then after that, one of the Ronga coach came and attacked the referee. Then from there the fighting erupted in the field’. All the players from Ronga and the funs were beating the referee. That’s what happened. Due to that the we and the Board of Directors came out with that resolution’.

Deng says article 106 of South Sudan Football Association regulates suspension of any team which misbehaves in a tournament.

Meanwhile, Ronga Manager Chol John Wantok says it is shocking news to the entire people of Ronga.

He blames the coach for taking the law into his hand and interrupting a decision made by the referee.

Wantok appeals to the referees to create unity among players.

He advises South Sudan players to stop judging referees.

In the year 2012 and 2013, Holy Family and Goal Star were also banned from the tournament in Rumbek due to similar act.
