Commissioner confirms increase of gender violence in Nzara

The Commissioner of Nzara in Gbudue State confirms increase of reports on gender-based violence in the county.
 
Moses Samson says this week, two rape cases have been reported including a girl of 12 years who was raped by her step father who is 35 years old, Anisa Radio reports.
 
He said the perpetrators who escaped after the incident must face the law because the government is working hard to bring them for justice.
 
The commissioner appeals to the general public to sustain peace in South Sudan while calling on parents to take good care of their children specially daughters.
 
Governor of Gbudue state Badagbu Daniel Rimbasa condemns increase of Nzara County crimes.
 
He says the government is working tirelessly to fight against gender-based violence in Nzara County and the whole Gbudue State at large.
 
The officials spoke on Wednesday in Nzara County.
