A Priest in the Catholic Diocese of Torit says leadership is a gift from God.
According to Radio Emmanuel, Anthony Gilo says God choose leaders who have mercy and love for his people.
‘Who does not want to be a leader? A leader should be responsible for all his people. Not everybody is gifted to lead. Out of many, God chooses others to be leaders, to lead people in the right way. In a way that God wants. But these days everybody wants to be a leader in offices or even at Home’
Fr Ubeo calls on leaders to love one another and act as good example to their people.
He says a good leader can only be judged by his performance not words.
‘You should simplify your life to be a good leader. Lead people by example not just telling them to do things. It’s you to tell them how things are done and they will follow’.
Fr Ubeo asks Christians to have faith and change their way of living so as to enter the Kingdom of God.
The Priest made the remarks while preaching at our Lady of Holy Rosary Parish in Torit on Sunday.
