Refugee women appeal to NGOs to reopen adult education

Refugee women living in Gorom refugee camp are appealing to humanitarian organization to open for them adult school.
 
One of the women representative says that the camp only have school for the children but lacks adult education for them.
 
She adds that earlier there was adult education, but it was stopped and now the women are just staying without education.
 
The group representative also mentions that they are involved in some livelihood activities which UNHCR supports them by finding markets for their hand craft activities.
 
UNHCR spokesperson Eujin Byun says the agency empowers women through livelihood program and help them to support their families finds a market for their projects. 
 
Through safe work, refugee women can provide their families’ basic needs, maintain their dignity and contribute to society, which is what most refugee women want, she adds.
 
The women spoke during a reporting trip to Gorom refugee camp organized by UNHCR and Journalist for Human Rights.
