USAID conducts training on finance to MPs in Yambio

United States Agency for International Development or USAID is training More than 30 Members of State Legislative Assembly on public financial oversight function and gender responsive budgeting in Yambio.
 
USAID Project coordinator Pauline Cryana Merimian says the training is part of strengthening the institution in the country.
 
She says strong institution can help build resilient society that the state can have a peaceful and sustainable environment. 
 
Pauline expresses hope that the members of parliament will show commitments to serving their constituencies. 
 
Meanwhile Kpiawandu Victor speaker of State legislative assembly appreciates USAID for the training adding that it will help the MPs who work in finance and tax departments.
 
Kpiawandu assures public that with the skills gained from the training, there will be transparency in revenue collection.
 
The speakers spoke to Radio Anisa during the training at Tourist Hotel in Yambio.
