The Chairman of Civil Society network has appreciated the national government for launching the emergency call centre in Wau.
Joseph Luka Akuar regrets that the emergency number is introduced a little bit late otherwise many incidences would have been reduced.
Luka adds that with the provision of motor cycles and cars, the police and the security personnel will be able to provide security service and reduce criminal activities in the area.
He calls for corporation to make good use of the call centre.
Luka directs people to call on the emergency number and report their location in case of anything so that they can be reached quickly.
He adds that it is everybody’s responsibility together with the government to ensure the protection and sustainability of the emergency call centre.
The emergency call centre 112 was launched last week in Wau, with support from UNDP, as a way to combat crimes in the area.
