The Vicar-General of the Catholic Diocese of Tambura-Yambio says South Sudanese cannot be symbolized by cultures of other people in the world without indigenous ones.

While addressing Anisa Journalists Fr Thomas Bagbiowia says South Sudanese cannot get civilized without their cultures because it is national identity.

He mentions that no South Sudanese applied to God to create him or her in any ethnic groups.

The Vicar appeals to communities to know how to speak and communicate fluently in their own mother tongues.

He challenges that some citizens think when they speak in their mother tongues, they are not civilized.

The Vicar General gave the statement to Anisa Radio about International Mother Language Day celebrated worldwide to promote awareness of linguistic and cultural diversity.
