Sweden donates 13 million Dollars to UNFPA for health care in South Sudan

The government of Sweden has contributed thirteen million US Dollars for sexual and reproductive health programmes in South Sudan.
 
The contribution will improve access to maternal and newborn care, family planning and youth-friendly health services in the country.
 
Speaking to journalists on Wednesday, Swedish Ambassador to South Sudan, Hans Henric Lundquist says it is important to reach out the most vulnerable people in need of services.
 
UNFPA Country Representative, Dr Mary Otieno appreciates the government of Sweden for the support.
 
She says with the support, UNFPA will improve further lives of women and men in South Sudan.
 
Dr Otieno assures that the money will be used wisely to provide good services to South Sudanese people.
