Traders decry high government taxes in Rumbek

Vegetables sellers in Rumbek market of western Lakes State on Monday complained of high taxes charged by government on commodities.
 
Speaking to Good News Radio, Mr. Dut Makoi says that they are being taxed highly by the government and has nothing to remain with after selling.
 
Makoi added that the taxes government levies from them are more than what they get from their business.
 
Dut urge the government to balance the taxes in order for traders to continue their business without breaking down.
 
Meanwhile Akur Marop pronounces lack of shelter is a great challenge for them during dry and rainy season.
 
‘When you don’t cover your head, you are fined 1,200 South Sudanese pounds, she added.
 
She appeals to the government to support them to raise their children to be the leaders of tomorrow.
 
The speakers made the remarks to good news radio in Rumbek market on Monday.
