Minister calls on people to cultivate enough food this year

Wau Minister of Agriculture and Animal Resources is calling on state farmers to increase cultivation this year to fight food insecurity in the state.
 
Simon Athuai Akot says his ministry has cultivated last year, but the harvest was not successful due to rains instability, Voice of Peace reports.
 
He says people should cultivated this year South of Wau town because the security is clam and his ministry planning to extend their farming land to get more harvest.
 
Athuai mentions that for the country to be independent economically, people need to depend on agriculture.
 
The minister was speaking to Voice of Hope Radio on Tuesday.
