Bentiu alleged rape findings should come out publicly, says RJMEC Chief
The alleged rape investigations findings that occurred in Bentiu should come out clearly and publicly, says Acting Chief of Revitalised Joint Monitoring and Evaluation Commission or RJMEC.
Lt General Augustino Njoroge, in the opening remarks, he points out that they expects to hear the report of the investigation as soon as possible.
Njoroge says CTSAMVM have the information on more reports on rape cases got recently from outside Bentiu which allegedly occurred on 7th January.
According to MSF or Doctors Without Borders report that approximately 150 women and girls have reportedly sought medical treatment after having been raped or sexually assaulted in more than ten-day period towards the end of November.
Those women while they were walking along roads near Nhialdhiu and Guit on their way to Bentiu were sexually assaulted.
The official was speaking during the third meeting of RJMEC on Wednesday in Juba.
