Yei River state on Sunday started seven days of prayer and fasting, says secretary general of the Catholic Diocese of Yei
Radio Easter quotes Fr Emmanuel Lodongo Sebit declared that it’s a duty and obligation of Christians in the Catholic Church to pray.
Fr Lodongo says the governor of Yei River State Emmanuel Adil Anthony called the religious leaders to organize for seven days prayers and fasting.
He adds the aim of this fasting is for peace, forgiveness and reconciliation to happen.
Fr Emmanuel urges all citizens to join the prayers and fasting.
The priest made the remarks during his homily at Christ the King Cathedral in Yei.
