A priest in the Catholic Diocese of Yei is urging all Christians to pray for peace in Yei River State and South Sudan in general.
Radio Easter quoted Fr Emmanuel Lodongo Sebit saying there are a lot of atrocities being committed that signals that there is no peace in the state.
He says peace can only be achieved through prayers.
Fr Emmanuel urges the Christians to fast not from food but on things that promotes violence.
Fr Lodongo made the remarks at Christ the King Cathedral on Sunday in Yei.
