Undersecretary says Unity Day to promote diversity in South Sudan

The Undersecretary in the Ministry of Culture Youth and Sports says the National Unity Day celebration is to promote diversity among the South Sudanese.
 
Agum Rin Mabeny explains that the celebration is supposed to take place in the states but could not due to security reasons.
 
She appreciates partners for supporting the event.
 
Rin adds that great achievements have been registered since the program was initiated.
 
Shinya Tomonari is the Chief Representative of Japan International Cooperation Agency or JICA.
 
He appeals to media outlets to disseminate peace messages to citizens regardless of their ethnicity.
 
Tomonari adds that a call for peace is paramount to peace building among communities and the country at large.
 
The officials were speaking during the launch of the National Unity Day at the Ministry of Culture Youth and Sports in Juba.
