Caritas Luxemburg in collaboration with Caritas Torit on Monday handed over the solar powered water distribution system to communities of Motoyo West of Nimule town.
The project aims to improve access to clean water and reduce the risk of waterborne diseases such as Cholera.
Director of Caritas Luxemburg Francioz’ Bsabahimana, says his office will continue supporting the management of water distribution system.
He tells communities to keep the facilities clean to avoid further damages.
Head Chief of Nimule Payam William Lira calls on users to own the solar distribution system and protect it from damages.
He warns communities against misusing the water points.
Lira calls for more humanitarian agencies to support education system in the area.
While Mary Adut a resident of Motoyo West expresses happiness over the constructed water point and says her area will be free of Typhoid and Malaria
She appeals to humanitarians agencies to build more water points to communities not accessing clean and safe water.
Adut expresses her readiness in ensuring the water distribution system is kept clean and safe for users.
