Over four hundred and seventy-three people are tested HIV/AIDs positive in Tonj from different counties in the state, according to the director of HIV/AIDs in Tonj the state.
John Jok Yor narrates that four hundred and twenty-one are from the town, five in Palal and twenty seven from Marial-lou counties, Don Bosco Radio reports.
He adds that many people have not turn up for HIV test to know their status.
Jok urges youth to avoid sex before marriage and sharing of sharp objects as it encourages the spread of virus in communities.
He appeals to the youth to use condoms or abstain from sex.
The director advises the public not to humiliate or isolate HIV patients.
Jok discloses that some youths in schools spread HIV/AIDS virus to villages during holidays.
He is surprised by virus cases reported also in villages of Tonj North and East.
Jok encourages village residents to go to a nearby health facility for check up.
