Tombura Minister of Health confirms increasing rates of malaria and hepatitis B cases in the state.

David Paulino Simbi says the state hospital is hosting more than four hundred and fifty patients of malaria cases, Radio Anisa reports.

He mentions that from June to August they tested about 295 citizens and found 114 positives with Hepatitis B and four with hepatitis C.

Paulino says the national Ministry of Health and partners are working hard to bring hepatitis vaccines to the state.

The minister outlines that as soon mosquito nets will be distributed to pregnant mothers to reduce new infections of malaria in the state.

The minister was speaking to Centenary Radio on Friday in Tombura.
