Netherlands contributes 30million dollars to South Sudan agricultural sector

The United Kingdom of Netherlands contributes a total of 30 million dollars to South Sudan government through partnership with the UN’s Food and Agriculture Organization or FAO.
 
Ambassador Janet Alberda says, her government has signed other agreement for the country to move from humanitarian to a more resilient plan.
 
Janet explains that the resilience program has various component of ensuring that all famers have the necessary tools facilitating access to fresh nutritious food among vulnerable communities.
 
Acting Country Representative of FAO South Sudan Pierre Vauthier, states that the 5.5 million contributions given today by the Netherland government will help the famers and responds to crisis when it arises.
 
The officials were speaking during a signing ceremony of Netherland funding for Emergency and Resilience Response in South Sudan at the Netherlands Embassy on Friday in Juba.
