The Minister of Information warns journalists against writing and broadcasting hate speech in their media houses or social media.
Michael Makuei Lueth says it is an offense and anyone who continues to disseminate hate speech will be dragged to court for trial and punished.
The minister advises journalists and the government officials to unite to serve the public and work in harmony without violating and misunderstanding.
Makuei discloses that they will be able to protect the people of South Sudan from social media by the end of 2018.
Every activity to be carried through social media will be passed through gateway that will reduce the bad practices including pornography to protect our children.
The minister was speaking to the state ministers of information during National Media Policy Symposium on Tuesday in Juba.
