Youth urges Red Cross to extend first aid training to villages

Torit State Youth President has called on South Sudan Red Cross Torit branch to extend its training of volunteers to the people in villages.
 
In a statement to Emmanuel Radio James Otililing Oliang stresses that reaching the grassroots can help improve handling of emergencies cases.
 
He appreciates Red Cross for their tremendous work in helping the people of Torit State and South Sudan at large.
 
Director of Red Cross in Torit Janet Lakony Karlos says there are community-based volunteers trained to identify and sensitize communities on health, psychosocial support and nutrition in villages.
 
Torit State Minister of Physical Infrastructure, John Savio Otwor, calls on Red Cross to consider the residents first in every project they are running.
 
He assures government’s support in filling the gaps left by South Sudan Red Cross.
 
The speakers made their remarks during one-day annual monthly project review organize by South Sudan Red Cross in Torit.
