Christians in Wau mourn Fr. Victor

Christians in Wau have gathered at St Mary Parish to mourn  Fr. Victor Luke Odiambo who was shot dead last week in Gok State.
 
 Diocesan Administrator of Wau Fr. Marko Mongu expresses grief over the death of the late Jesuit priest, Voice of Hope Radio reports.
 
He assures the Missionaries of their security guarantee in the diocese.
 
On behave of the Jesuit priests Fr. Martin Kamou Maweo urges all the leaders to avoid the culture of violence and stick to love of God.
 
He quote the book of Wisdom saying, “But the souls of the righteous are in the hand of God and no torment shall touch them’.
 
 This is the second time a missionary is killed without clear reason since South Sudan became independent.
 
A Missionary Sister Veronica Rackova was the first to be killed in Yei River State in May 2016.
