A priest of the Sacred Heart Parish of the Catholic Diocese of Rumbek urges journalists to propagate messages of peace and justice in their work.
Fr Leo Arokianathan told Don Bosco radio that journalists must educate, inform and entertain the community to experience change through facts.
”Journalists should also enlighten many tribes that have lost their good cultures” Fr Arokianathan advises.
He notes that journalists become more important through the appreciation receive from the community on their news and programs.
The priest reminds journalists to dig out the importance of culture and disseminate such for young people to understand.
He appeals to the media to be tools of justice and candles of peace across the country.
The priest was addressing journalists during their mass on Saturday in Tonj.
