The State Minister of Information in Tonj confirms that seven people were killed and a child was wounded in Tonj East conflict that started in October.
James Ayiek Bath explains that out of seven people killed, two are young girls, Don Bosco Radio reports.
He says the incident happened after a youth killed a girl he wanted to marry, but her parents refused because they are related to one another.
Ayiek advises the civilians to respect the law and work for peace and unity in the area.
He says the government is following the case to bring the suspects to book.
The minister made the remarks during an exclusive interview to Don Bosco Radio upon his arrival from Tonj East County.
