UNHCR provides school fees to over 200 refugee students in Yei

The UN Refugee Agency or UNHCR and United Methodist Committee on Relief paid school fees for 205 students in Yei River State.
 
The agency in its operational update says the learners comprise 105 boys and 100 girls registered at 11 primary schools for 2018’s third term.
 
It explains that in Makpandu refugee settlement of Western Equatoria, it distributed solar lamps to 40 boys and 12 girls from primary and secondary schools to help their revision for the final exams.
 
In Ajuong Thok refugee camp of the former Unity State, UNHCR and Lutheran World Federation trained 214 teachers on inclusive education in primary and accelerated learning program.
 
The agency says it and World Vision intensified Ebola virus prevention awareness campaign in Makpandu refugee settlement of Western Equatoria.
 
They also delivered Ebola awareness and sensitization messages to 3,737 refugees in the same region.
