The Solidarity with South Sudan is training priests, sisters and brothers on trauma healing in the Catholic Diocese of Rumbek.

Sister Barbara Paleczny, who facilitates the workshop, explains that church is called on to be ambassadors of peace and that it should be an obligation for every member of the church to create a loving community.

According to Good News Radio, the workshop attracted priests, sisters and brothers from all parishes of the Catholic Diocese of Rumbek for one-week training.

The Nun says the workshop was not only to empower people to be aware, but to get healed from trauma and stress.

She adds that most people are affected by trauma not only because they lost loved ones but also because of what they hear happening elsewhere in the country.

The Sister says the focus will be to help participants understand emotions and know both ways of passing out emotions healthily or unhealthily.

Solidarity with South Sudan trauma and healing workshop started on Tuesday and is expected to end on Saturday.
