Evangelical Lutheran Church to celebrate silver jubilee in Yambio

The Evangelical Lutheran Church in South Sudan and Sudan is preparing to celebrate its 25th anniversary on December second in Yambio.
 
According to Anisa Radio, the Church was established in South Sudan in 1993 and later expanded to Sudan and other parts of the two countries.
 
Organizing committee chairman, Reverend Jacob Elinama Bisih, says the event is very important because since establishment it has done a lot of development in the country.
 
He discloses that the church now has 75 parishes and 150 pastors in South Sudan and the Sudan.
 
Reverend Elinama says they are focusing on the spiritual and developmental parts of Evangelical Lutheran Church.
 
He discloses that they will open and an orphanage next year so that they admit some parentless boys to it in Yambio.
 
Lutheran Church Chairlady Julian Patrice expresses happiness to attend their silver jubilee to remember the greatness of the young Bishop who is more active in developing the church holistically.
 
On Tuesday this week pastors and Christians of the Evangelical Lutheran Church started general cleaning in and around the church as part of the preparation for the 25th anniversary celebration due to take place in Yambio.
