Sts Peter and Paul Parish celebrates World Mission Sunday

Sts Peter and Paul Parish in the Catholic Diocese of Torit on Sunday celebrated World Mission.
 
Fr Louis Okot Anthony, Provincial Superior of Comboni Missionaries says the Saviour cares for Christians to make differences, Radio Emmanuel.
 
He says a good servant always commit himself to save others and bring change in the society.
 
‘Jesus feed the hungry, Jesus defends the weak he protects them, Jesus is so compassionate he forgives the sins, Jesus makes common calls with the people who are hungry, with the people who are sick, with people who are oppressed. The servant is the one who gets dirty because of doing good for the others, the servant is the one who is ready to surfer for his people and today he is telling to us the Christians that we the Christians are to bring change for the society’, he elaborates
 
Fr. Okot urges the Christians to know God’s call to protect, guide, receive and heal the sick and share the gospel among them.
 
He appeals to the people of God to show God’s love for their community.
 
‘So we the Christians who are today gather her Jesus is calling us to make difference to protect those who are weak, to guide those who are loved, to receive those who are appreciated those who are unwanted in the community, to heal those who are sick not to be afraid to share what we have with the others and this will make a difference they will say this is a Christian community and it is a community Jesus is talking about if others are doing like this I ask you be different’, Fr Okot stresses.
 
The Comboni missionary says the day reminds every Christians to live with joy and unity to love one another.
 
The Catholic priest made the remarks during his homily on Sunday at Sts Peter and Paul Parish in Torit.
