The Civil Organization of Kama held two-day workshop to build peaceful co-existence and unity among women in the Nuba Mountains.
The director of the project Alhadi Hassan Koume says the idea of the workshop is to bring different women together in relation to the current generation, Voice of Peace Radio reports.
He adds that women will discover new cultural experiences and benefit from each other and learn to live peacefully in the region.
Different women in the community are discussing ways to minimize the rates of illiteracy among them, says Hassan.
He adds that his organization wants women to iron out the spread of early marriages in the region.
The workshop attracted 20 women from different counties in the Nuba Mountains.
