The Deputy Chairperson for Civil Society Network in Eastern Equatoria describes women of South Sudan as vulnerable victims of trauma due to recurring conflicts in the country.
Flora Sebit says many responsibilities women have in their homes make them more helpless with the crisis, Radio Emmanuel reports.
She says most South Sudanese tend to produce children that at times they cannot afford to take care of.
The deputy chairperson adds that having many helpless children increases the number of street kids that affects the community.
Meanwhile, Nyoka Grace Nicholas, a counselor on Gender Based Violence with Health Link South Sudan claims the increase in the cases of trauma in communities is being caused by few individuals.
She calls on communities to always report cases of trauma to specialists in hospital.
However, Dr Ezbon Wapary a health consultant at Caritas Torit says treatment of trauma starts with acceptance of the real cause.
Trauma is caused mentally by a severe shock that lasts for long, due to unpleasant experience and other physical or medical condition.
