South Africa visit to South Sudan is to support the initiatives and the progress of the implementation of the revitalized peace deal, says Special Envoy.
 
David Mabuza says after meeting all parties including SPLM Chair he found that they are optimistic to fully implement the agreement.
 
He adds that they will visit the neighbouring countries that are stakeholders of the accord to work together to realize a lasting peace in South Sudan.
 
South Sudan Minister in the Office of the President Mayiik Ayii says President Salva Kiir vows to implement the peace agreement despite financial challenges.
 
The South African Vice President also met some parties in Juba including former detainees group and reported that they are positive about the implementation of the agreement, he adds.
 
The official spoke on Monday in Juba during the two-day visit of the South African Special Envoy to South Sudan.
 
In January 2015 SPLM, SPLM-IO and FD’s under the intervention of Tanzania’s ruling party agreed to the Arusha Reunification Framework to unite and put an end to the conflict that erupted in December 2013.
