The Sudan Peoples’ Liberation Movement‚ÄìNorth says the interest and wellbeing of the people under its control is the first priority in the Nuba Mountains.

Hashim Abdulli SPLM-North Secretary in the region says they are ready to negotiate aid delivery to the people of Nuba Mountains and Blue Nile States, Voice of Peace Radio reports.

He accuses Humanitarian Aid Commission in Khartoum of downplaying SPLM concerns to its people.

The Secretary mentions that after successful restructuring of the SPLM-North leadership the Movement is still on its position to allow humanitarian relief to the needy in the two regions.

Hashim Abdullah speaks to radio voice of peace following the announcement of Humanitarian Aid commission last week in Khartoum that it approves the UN initiative to deliver Humanitarian Aid to the two areas.

Peace negotiations between the Sudanese government and the SPLM-N collapsed at the end of 2015, and again in August 2016 as both parties adhered to their stances concerning the route of humanitarian aid to the armed movement controlled areas.
