The deputy governor of the Nuba Mountains is directing educators in the region to be role models in their profession as schools are due to open in October.
Ali Kuku Kunda says there is need for teachers to manage themselves and be well organized when in the class, Voice of Peace Radio reports.
He cautions that any educationist who does not want to promote education or decent social and cultural lives of the community will be accountable.
Kuku encourages all learners to take education seriously because it is a strong tool to eradicate marginalization in the region.
The Deputy Governor explains that community should be independent economical so as to use the resources they have for their school children.
He spoke to Voice of Peace Radio during the closure of the workshop that brought together education directors and head teachers on Thursday.
