Low rainfall is affecting farmers in Amadi where hunger is likely to strike the state this year due to poor harvest.
Anisa Radio quoted Manasseh Doboi saying they last received rain in July though farmers worked hard to cultivate enough for their families and surplus for the market.
The security situation of the state has improved, making it possible for famers to access their gardens, he notes.
The deputy governor discloses that internally displaced persons are ready to go to their places, but no humanitarians agencies on the ground to facilitate their return.
Doboi reveals that Amadi government has settled border issues with its neighbouring states.
The official was speaking to Anisa Radio in a telephone conversation on Thursday.
