Inter-faith Council calls for support in Western Equatoria States

A member of Interfaith-based Council for Peace in the Former Western Equatoria State calls for humanitarian aid support to the affected communities in Amadi, Maridi, Tombura and Gbudue States.
 
Pastor Charles Bandasi says they have visited the states and identifies some within the areas under critical situation that needs immediate assistance.
 
He identifies the most affected areas as Mundri East County in Amadi State, Nagero County in Tombura and Bangazagino County in Gbudue States.
 
Pastor Bandasi reveals that in those areas they visited some of the places have no civilians because they deserted for their safety and are leaving under terrible conditions.
 
Chief of Yambio Municipal Alminio Mombasa during the community conversation dialogue that was held in Ikpiro one of the residential areas in the town adds that there is relative calm now in the area compared to last year.
 
He calls for trauma and healing to the community members after the disturbing incidences they went through during the conflict.
 
Acting Governor of Gbudue State Grace Datiro who urges citizens in the State to work for peace at all levels.
 
The speakers made the remarks during a Community Conversation for peace in Yambio which is being organized by Interfaith and Sponsored by USAID, Catholic Relief Service or CRS in different parts of Western Equatoria Region
