South Sudan Civil Society Forum or SSCSF calls on parties involved in the peace signing to respect ceasefire agreement.

The group of national organizations urges the parties carrying arms to silence the guns and join the rest of the stakeholders in a non-violent process of reform.

They believe the agreement is a good basis for ushering in peace, security and stability in the country.

The group further calls upon friends of South Sudan to maintain continuous engagement and support the implementation process.

The national organizations urge the government to respect human rights and fundamental freedoms, and to ensure citizens can actively contribute to securing peace without fear of harassment and intimidation.

They insist on the signatories to begin the process of implementing the revitalized agreement saying Signatures alone do not bring peace.
