Internal Displaced Persons or IDPs at Our Lady of Assumption Riimenze Parish of the Catholic Diocese of Tombura-Yambio are asking Pope Francis to pray for peace in South Sudan
One of the IDPs, Rosetta Hipaingba Awadigani, is asking the Holy Father to pray for peace in the country to enable them return to their homes, Anisa Radio reports.
She complains that they are suffering a lot from different kind of diseases and many of their people have died.
The IDP stresses that hunger is the major problem facing them.
Gabriel Toniko Murangi explains that they are really tired of the conflict and its effects.
He appeals for prayers for total peace in the country.
The IDPs talked when Bishop Eduardo Hiiboro and Pope Representative Monsignor Mark Kadima on Wednesday visited them at Our Lady of Assumption Riimenze Parish in the Catholic Diocese of Tombura-Yambio.
