St Daniel Comboni Primary School in the Catholic Diocese of Rumbek on Monday giving awards to the best three pupils in each class.
Head teacher, Ben Makoi Wada told Good News Radio that the gifts were delivered to pupils during the release of second term results.
Makoi urges parents not to give more work to learners during school time so that they can perform well.
He utters that parents have a big role to play in the education of their children since they are the key observers in the learning process
The head teacher urges the learners to re-double their efforts in studies for better results next term.
He cautions learners that whoever will fail three terms, denies promotion to him/herself to the next class.
In another development, the head teacher appreciates his teachers for their commitment and encourages them to carry on.
During the announcement of the results only two girls emerges in position one from the whole school.
