Authorities of Western, Eastern Lakes and Gok States are preparing to conduct a peace conference in Western Lakes State next week.
Western Lakes Information Minister Martin Gula says the main agenda for the conference is security matters, Good News Radio reports.
He adds that other issues such as challenges facing the three states will also be discussed.
Gula discloses that the conference will bring together authorities and local communities from across the region.
The minister discloses that the meeting is to realize peace in the region and the neighbouring counties.
He urges greater Lakes State community to prepare for this importance occasion, as representatives from three states are going to Western Lakes State capital, Rumbek.
Vice President Wani Igga was invited for the conference which is scheduled to start on September 13 and runs through 16.
