United Methodist Committee on Relief or UMCOR has confirmed the outbreak of fall armyworm in Yei River State.
Speaking to radio Easter, Dara Elisa says the fall armyworm is a serious pest that has frustrated many farmers in the state.
He assures the residents that his organization, the Ministry Of Agriculture and the county agriculture department and are working closely to sensitized this army worm.
Fall armyworm causes serious leaf feeding damage as well as direct injury to the ear.
Radio Easter is making efforts to reach the state ministry of agriculture for comments on the outbreak and the possible means of treatment of the worms.
