State Minister cites lack of professional teachers

The Acting Minister of Education in Tombura State says the state lacks professional teachers who can upgrade the standard of education in the state.
 
David Paulino Simbi reveals that there is a huge decline in state performance at the recently released national Secondary education results compared to last year
 
In an exclusive interview with Radio Anisa, Paulino suggests increment on teachers’ salary to attract many qualified teachers including foreigners.
 
Paulino hopes that with the recently signed Peace deal, some teachers who left the country will come back and continue teaching.
 
The minster urges students to be committed and concentrate on their studies than engaging in activities that cannot support their education
