The former SPLA combatant and wounded hero killed his wife in Torit town, police confirms.
According to Radio Emmanuel, Arkangelo Lopuli murdered his wife under the influence of alcohol.
Police Spokesman Major Mathew Ochan says the incident happened at 2:00 AM and the suspect is in police custody awaiting trial.
Meanwhile Eunice Nakiru, an eyewitness and neighbor to the deceased, says the couple has been having frequent family dispute especially when both are drunk.
She adds every time they fight, the man takes dangerous objects like knife to battle his wife.
Nakiru urges citizens to reduce consumption of alcohol and calls on the government to regulate the sale of intoxicated drinks in Torit town.
The late left behind two children: a boy and girl, both below ten years.
