At least seven people including two females and child have died and one is missing when the river overrun a car carrying passengers along Kapoeta-Mogos road in Kapoeta State on Tuesday.
A private vehicle belonging to Mogos County Commissioner was travelling from Kapoeta town to Mogos County but due to heavy rains, Nak-Nak stream with high speed caught the vehicle in the middle and took away including passengers.
Radio Emmanuel quoted Kapoeta State Minister of Information Joseph Kabaka confirming that five dead bodies were brought in Kapoeta Hospital postmortem and several others whereabouts remain unclear.
Some sources in Kapoeta say only a driver survived the incident, but everybody on board died.
An eyewitness told Radio Emmanuel that the people who died belong to the same family.
