The Minister of Health Tonj State on Monday calls for general cleaning in the town to minimize bad hygiene and sanitation in the state.
Abak Yel Madot says the aim of the general cleaning is to make sure that the residential areas are clean to stop spreading many diseases, Don Bosco Radio reports.
She mentions that most of the restaurants are selling food in dirty places.
Yel adds that ninety percent of the population in the town is affected by malaria and typhoid due to poor hygiene and sanitation.
She states that the general cleaning will help reduce spread of germs in the town.
Minister Abak asks Tonj people to start cleaning wherever they are residing.
She requests youth and the intellectuals to put much effort on cleaning as it keeps people healthy.
The minister made the comments to Don Bosco Radio on Monday in Tonj.
