EU to support teachers of Accelerated Learning Program, says minister

Torit Acting Minister of Education reveals European Union or EU readiness to support teachers of Accelerated Learning Program in the state.
 
Vitale Ongejuk expresses happiness as issue of adult teachers running for better jobs will reduce because each educator is expected to earn 40 Euros per month according to the project, Radio Emmanuel reports.
 
Minister says the project is meant for four years commencing in 2018 as a year of evaluation 
 
‘We are very happy that the issue of teachers turn over going for white color job this time will reduce because this project will support 16 teachers and each teacher will receive 40 Euro per month, this is the money that we have allocated to the project and it is a four year project but it will first start this one year then we shall evaluate and see what best we can do, lesson learn will help us improve a lot and this is an opportunity as I said lets parent send their children to access learning’, he stresses.
 
Minister Ongejuk calls on Torit citizens to mobilize youth who abandoned studies to go back to learning.
 
He stresses that it is a collective responsibility of all citizens in the state to ensure all children have opportunity to study.
 
‘It is an opportunity, a great opportunity to us the people of South Sudan to have this kind of chance for our young boys and girls who drop out of school to go back to school my message to the people of Torit state let them mobilize their Youth, let them be able to make sure that these youth who dropped out of School are able to come to these centers and access learning program let them make sure that we join hands together’, minister Ongejuk pleads.
 
He expresses his commitment to ensuring learners have access to quality education in the state.
 
The minister was talking to Radio Emmanuel in an interview at Torit Secretariat on Thursday.
