Tombura-Yambio Catholic Diocese will celebrate the 4th Anniversary of Titarani Bishop Gasi Abangite in September this year.
Bishop Joseph Gasi Abangite was the first native Bishop who took the leadership of the Catholic Church in Tombura-Yambio Diocese and passed on in 2013 at the age 94.
The Acting team leader for Bishop Gasi 4th anniversary Fr. Wasi Benjamin says the celebration will kick off from the 10th to 13th of September 2018.
He mentions that the celebration will start with prayers and healings which will be facilitated by a priest from the congregation of Fr. Joseph Billy.
He calls on the Christians, parishes and well wishers to give their contribution in cash or in kind for the celebration.
Fr. Wasi adds that this year the Diocese will not provide transport, accommodation and feedings to the Christians but they will provide for themselves.
He calls on the Christians and all those who have problems and difficulties in life to come for the effective prayers and healings which will be for the first 3 days from the 10th to 12 of September.
The actual celebration will be on the 13th of September which will be presided over by His Grace the Nuncio of South Sudan.
