.The apostolic administrator of the Catholic diocese of Torit encourages Christians to have bibles in their homes

According to Radio Emanuel, Monsignor Thomas Oliha Atiya says persistent reading of bible helps bring someone closer to God.

‘Brothers and sisters do you have bible in your house? There in your room do have a bible do you read it? if you read that do you understand you identify yourself with Jesus Christ read the Gospel live  the Gospels’
live the scripture in own daily life not just here in church when you come on Sunday in church and that is all outside their you behave like a pagan you behave like someone who did not know Jesus Christ no this is not what Jesus does want from us, he wants us to live his own life’

Monsignor Oliha advises Christians to portray good behaviours in the community and to commit themselves in confession to be forgiven by God and lead a prayerful life.

I ask you how many of us today came for the sacrament of penance I am a sinner I have to confess my sins frequently in order that my sins should be forgiven then you don’t identify with Christ and you don’t live the sacramental life know that why Christ say this is my body eat it and this is my blood drink it live like myself a vibrant Christian live a life of prayer a life of the word of God’

The apostolic administrator was preaching to the congregation at our lady of holy rosary parish in Torit
