Yei River State celebrates signing of peace agreement

Yei River State celebrated the peace agreement the government and opposition leaders signed recently in Khartoum, Sudan.
 
According to Easter Radio, Governor of Yei River State Emmanuel Adil Anthony officiated the occasion that attracted hundreds of people from different ethnic groups to Yei Freedom Square on Friday.
 
Bishop Hillary says churches and friends all over the world have been praying for peace since the liberation struggle days.
 
On his part, deputy governor Yusto Baba says people need access to basic services without fear.
 
Governor Adil says it is time for people to come out of the long suffering and reject tribalism, sectarianism and all forms of human right abuses.
 
He declares to the public the peace that was signed in Sudan and describes it as ‘good news’ for the people of Yei.
 
The officials were addressing the public at Yei Freedom Square on Friday.
