The new Minister of Health in Tonj State on Tuesday assumed office after swearing in on Monday.
According to Don Bosco Radio, hundreds of people came to witness the handing over organized by the staff in the ministry.
Director-General in the ministry Dr Raphael Mawien appreciates the governor for pointing the exact person needed by citizens.
He says the ministry is ready to work hand in hand with the new minister for the betterment of Tonj people.
The Director-General calls on all the staff to cooperate with the new leader to address the challenges facing the hospital.
Meanwhile Minister Abak Madot calls for cooperation among the workers in the ministry.
She encourages team work among health personnel that can help them deliver good services to people in the area.
The minister appeals to the women to report any domestic violence to concern authorities on time.
